Beltangady: International webinar on English Language held at Sacred Heart College Madanthyar

Beltangady, Sep 16: An international webinar on 'Comprehensive Analysis of English Language and Literature in the Contemporary World' was jointly organized on September 15 by the department of English and IQAC of Sacred Heart College Madanthyar.

Professor Arun Kumar Alagonda, columnist, author, assistant professor and international speaker was the resource person.

Rekha K, lecturer in the department of English introduced the speaker and welcomed the participants who attended the webinar.

The speaker talked about Classification of English, Anatomy of English Language, Skills, Importance of Etiquettes, Interview Skills, Opportunities with English language, Types of Literature, Genres of Literature, Literary devices, How to study Literary Theory and Criticism, Classification of British Literature and How to Utilise Internal Sources and prepare for NET and SLET in a splendid way.

The webinar lasted for one and a half hours and was very instructive.

More than 800 participants had registered from 13 different countries and 550 of them were the real beneficiaries. The speaker’s presentation was well appreciated by all.

The presentation included a question and answer session.

In the presidential speech, Dr Joseph N M, the principal, appreciated the speaker and congratulated everyone for the success of this international webinar. Spoorthi K, lecturer in the department of English, the moderator of the webinar expressed her gratitude to all the participants and concluded the session.

Technical assistance was given by Robin Joseph Sera, lecturer in the department of Commerce.
