Udupi, Sep 16: The titular feast of Mother of Sorrows Church, here was marked with devotion and by abiding to the present situation.
Fr Alwyn Sequiera, OCD, Superior Carmelite House, Koteshwar was the chief celebrant for the Eucharistic celebration.
In his homily, Fr Alwyn Sequiera stressed about Mother Mary's role at the moment of the burial of Jesus Christ. She was an exemplar in following Jesus. Mother Mary stood by Him during his entire journey.
Fr Valerian Mendonca, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi, Fr Lawrence D'Souza, rector of Milagres Cathedral Kallianpur, Fr Ashwin Aranha, assistant parish priest, Fr Johnson Sequiera, principal of St Mary's CBSE School and other priests from the diocese were present for the eucharistic celebrations.
Compulsory temperature check up was done for the faithful.
