Udupi, July 11: Tourists are not visiting sea walk even though the lockdown was lifted one and a half month ago here. The district administration has not objected to the entry of tourists any time. But people are hesitating to visit the place. The door of sea walk beside the beach is closed. The nearby shops closed without business three months ago.

A few amateur fishermen are seen fishing near sea walk. It is the hobby of some people to fish in the monsoons. Ubar fish can be seen caught in canals beside fields.

Mechanized sea fishing is banned during monsoons. Locals make use of the opportunity to fish with hook and angler near sea walk.

There are some who have made fishing with hooks and angling their livelihood. As fresh sea fish is not available, many people come here for fishing.

Fruitful ishing depends on high tide. Though sea walk is closed, people fish with hook and angler here all 365 days in a year. Their number has increased now as there is no business and colleges are closed.
