When Saroj Khan gave Karan Mehra, Nisha Rawal Rs 101


Mumbai, Jul 3 (IANS): TV couple Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal took to social media and recalled a moment when they had received Rs 101 from the late Saroj Khan, on the dance reality show "Nach Baliye".

"A picture of Rs 101 given to us by Saroj Khanji, during one of our performances in 'Nach Baliye'. "Karan was given one and I was given one! We will cherish this memory forever! 4 decades 2000 songs, 'The Dancing Queen of India'. A legend," Nisha wrote.

She thanked the late artiste for "touching our lives and leaving behind a legacy".

"You shall be missed for your humbleness, kindness and immense talent!Rest in peace," Nisha added.

Along with it, Nisha shared a picture of the currency note she had received from Saroj Khan.

"Famous for her flair of dancing and giving greatest hits to our film industry our Masterji leaves us today to heavens above. I had the honour of performing in front of her in 'Nachle ve' and 'Nach Baliye' winning the famous 101 rupee from her. A memory to cherish for life," Karan reminisced.

Saroj Khan breathed her last at around 1.30am on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 71.
