Mangaluru: SJEC to host webinar on 'Introduction to BE: AI and Machine Learning'

Mangaluru, Jul 1: To throw some light on the newly introduced BE course in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), here, has come up with a webinar on Saturday July 4, from 10.00 am to 11.00 am. The webinar titled 'Introduction to B.E:Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning' will be delivered by Dr Pramod Kumar Naik, senior manager at Agimus Technologies Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the branch of Computer Science that emphasizes the development of intelligent machines which think and work like humans. With the advancement in technology, everyone is already connected to AI in one way or the other, be it through Siri, Watson or Alexa. More and more industries are investing resources in Machine Learning (ML), indicating a robust growth in AI products and apps. AI is just not limited to the IT industry but is extensively used in areas such as agriculture, health care, speech recognition, business, education, law and manufacturing.

The webinar will allow aspiring young minds to understand what the hype is all about, how careers in this area will shape-up in the future, what the engineering course in AI and ML has to offer and how SJEC is poised to prepare youth for this challenge.
