Mangaluru, Jun 30: The department of Statistics, St Agnes College (Autonomous), here, on June 29 celebrated National Statistics Day.

On this special occasion, the department organized a talk on Prof P C Mahanalobis through a Google meet and inter-class quiz competition using google forms. The resource person for the talk was Shubharekha, the dean administration, St Agnes College (Autonomous) here.

The resource person highlighted the significance of June 29 and the contribution of the Father of Indian Statistics, Prof P C Mahalanobis to the field of Statistics.

The participants attentively listened to the session and actively participated in the quiz competition.

Shreenavya of II BSc led the prayer and the session was compered by Varnika of II BSc. Harshini B M, HOD Statistics concluded the session.
