HFI Prez directs Secretary-General to immediately file annual returns


New Delhi, June 6 (IANS): Handball Federation of India (HFI) President M. Ramasubramani has directed the federation's Secretary-General Anandeshwar Pandey to undetake the task of filing the National Sports Federation's (NSF) annual returns. Ramasubramani has also asked for a status report on the same within 15 days.

"As Secretary, it is mandatory and you have to file annual returns such as audited statement of accounts, annual report of minutes of meetings etc. to the Office of the Registrar regularly," said Ramasubramani in a letter addressed to Pandey.

"It is informed that you have not filed the same for a few years."

Ramasubramani further directed the HFI's Treasurer Pritpal Singh Saluja to personally support Pandey in the matter.

"As Treasurer of federation, Saluja has to ensure correctness of accounts and support secretary to prepare and file all the papers with the registrar in time," said the HFI President.

"Treasurer is requested to personally support in preparing papers, filing and completing the work. As the matter is urgent, I request you to attend the same immediately and report action taken and progress within 15 days and to report further till work is complete."

Subramani played down the matter when asked about it. "It is just an internal issue, small matter and it will be sorted out," he told IANS.
