Indian constitution is highly accepted and admired by Indians as well as rest of the world. The world's democracies respect Indian constitution, whereas citizens of dictatorships and citizens of totalitarian countries wish to have a functioning democracy like India.

India's constitution is time tested. In mid 1970's Mrs. Indira Gandhi suspended the constitution, then President Fahkrudin Ali Mohamed signed and declared emergency rule and next 19 months India was under Indira Gandhi and Congress party dictatorships. But in 1977 general elections India; notably North Hindu India DECISIVELY voted out Indira and Congress party to RESTORE INDIAN Constitution.
