Bantwal, Jan 14: “Lack of coordination between department officials should not cause hassles to people. Therefore, officials should work with more dedication,” said Bantwal MLA, Rajesh Nayak Ulipadiguthu.

Speaking at KDP meeting that is held once in three months at SJSRY auditorium, B C Road on Tuesday, he slammed the Mescom officials demanding a progress report of the department asking why the transformer at Sajipamooda village is not repaired even after one and a half months despite knowing that the transformer is required immediately for drinking water supply.

The MLA asked for details of contractor of buildings being built for backward class at Vamadapadavu as the work has stopped half-way. Forest officer said that 35,000 saplings are grown by the forest department. “2,300 saplings are kept ready to distribute to schools,” said forest department officer Suresh.

The MLA asked the municipal council chief officer Lena Britto to ensure disposal of trash at Kanchinadka Padavu waste disposal unit.

The MLA asked KSRTC to hold separate KSRTC adalat to solve issues in the villages. Taluk panchayat president, Chandrahasa Karkera, vice-president Abbas Ali, standing committee president Mallika Shetty, Tahsildar Rashmi S R and taluk panchayat executive Rajanna were on the dais.
