Mangaluru: SAC to hold panel discussion, candle light march

Mangaluru, Dec 12: Deeply disturbed by the recent atrocities on women, the Women Cell, Committee against Sexual Harassment (CASH) and Human Rights Cell of St Aloysius College (SAC), Mangaluru would like to express their solidarity with the victims and would like to stage a strong protest against violation of human rights.

In light of these atrocities, a panel discussion and a candle light march will be held on December 13 at 4.15 pm in Mother Teresa Peace Park, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru.

The candle light march will take place from the Jyothi circle till the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Bunder followed by a street play put up by the students of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

Dr Shalini Aiyappa, Dr Saraswati and Dr Roseveera D’Souza, the coordinators of this event felt the need to organize a peaceful march and involve the public and students from colleges in and around Mangaluru city.

Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector, St Aloysius Institutions and Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, St Aloysius College will grace the occasion.
