Mangaluru: Carmel School Moodbidiri celebrates ‘World day of the poor’

Mangaluru, Nov 18: Carmel School Moodbidiri celebrated ‘World day of the poor’ to mark sesquicentennial (150years) jubilee of Apostolic Carmel Congregation in India on November 18, 2019.

To make the day a memorable one, the school invited the children of Kannada medium schools namely, Main School Moodbidri, Jyothi Nagara Govt School and Labour School Moodbidri along with their teachers.



The programme began with a prayer song and children were welcomed by the institution. A short skit depicting the life of Venerable Mother Veronica was played during the programme. The school joint secretary Sr Niveditha spoke on the Foundress Mother Veronica and she added that our Foundress worked for the poor and the needy in order to give them good education and addressed the students to imbibe good values in their lives.

As a gesture of love, children received stationeries and refreshments which bought smile on their innocent faces.
