Dubai court orders deportation of Asian Physio for molesting patient

Dubai, Nov 7: A Dubai court has ordered the deportation of a 38-year-old Asian physiotherapist after he was accused of molesting his 45-year-old Canadian patient.
 
In her statement to police, the woman stated that she was inappropriately touched and kissed by the man. The incident took place in May during a physiotherapy session. Following this, the woman complained to the Bur Dubai police station. Based on the victim's statement, the accused was arrested and sentenced to a 3-month jail term.
 
The case was referred to the criminal court, which along with jail time included deportation.
 
 
The accused challenged the order at the Dubai Court of Appeal, which upheld the deportation but suspended the jail sentence.
