Udupi, Oct 9: Geetanjali Suvarna from Katpady, Udupi was appointed as state president for female wing of Brahmasri Narayanguru Dharma Paripalana Association.
In a programme which was organised at town hall in Bengaluru, state president of Billawa Samaj, Saidappa K said, ”Eediga Billawa community has 26 sub-castes and women must be able to raise their voice in the society and form an organization .
"It is possible only with the leadership of Geetanjali Suvarna and hence she is being appointed as the state president of Brahmasri Narayanguru Dharma Paripalana Association," he said.
The office-bearers were also appointed in this occasion in the presence of Swamiji of Billawa Samaj, members of billawa samaj and elderly people of the Bilawa Samaj in Town Hall, Bengaluru.
