Bantwal, Sep 7: Anitha D'Souza (36), who used to work in a farm at Angri near Kanyana, Vittal in the taluk, accidentally slipped and drowned in a pond on Thursday September 5.

As usual, Anitha had left her home on Thursday morning for working in the farm. She had the habit of visiting the farm owner's home briefly at 11 am to have coffee, but on that day she did not come home. The owner went looking for her and found that Anitha's footwear and some other belongings were floating in a pond on the way. When he searched in the pond with the help of some local people, he found the body of Anitha inside.

A case of unnatural death in this respect was filed in Vittal police station.
