Mangaluru: Rain appears in certain places only at night

Mangaluru, Aug 20: The entire coastal Karnataka region had sunny weather during the day on Monday August 19. However, some places received rain at night. Udupi district also witnessed marked decline in the quantum of rainfall.

During the 24-hour period ended 8.30 am on Monday, Davanagere recorded 10 cam rainfall, the highest in Karnataka. Kundapur got four cm rainfall while Karkala got three cm. Puttur got two cm while Mangalurur got one cm rainfall.

A release from the meteorological department said that there is possibility of rain in all parts of the coast and a few places located in north and southern interior Karnataka during the period till Wednesday morning.
