Mangaluru: Expert conducts session on 'Civil Engineering & Architecture as career'

Mangaluru, Aug 12: As part of the Edu-Path Lecture Series, Dr Premananda Shenoy, veteran consultant civil engineer and the visiting professor, Sahyadri College of Engineering, Adyar, conducted a session on 'Civil Engineering & Architecture as career' for the 2nd PUC students in the cultural centre of Expert PU College, Valachil.

Dr Premananda Shenoy extolled the role of civil engineers and architects contribution in creating infrastructure and other amenities in the world. He urged the students to feel proud to be engineers. Speaking specifically on the versatility of civil engineering he outlined the benefits of choosing it as their career. He spoke about the wonders of civil engineering, detailing the most unusual buildings around the world. He presented a birds-eye view of the engineering branches, scope and job opportunities all over India and abroad.

This was followed by an interactive session in which the resource person answered numerous questions pertaining to the engineering field.

Dr N K Vijayayan Karippal, Principal Expert PU College, Valachil honoured Dr Premananda Shenoy with a memento.

Akanksha Kote, accorded a formal welcome, compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
