Bengaluru, Jul 18: Assistant director in the department of youth empowerment and sports of the city (rural) district, Devika, has courted controversy by sharing video and post which condemns minister D K Shivakumar, his brother and dissident MLAs, in a WhatsApp group. The post was made on Tuesday July 16 night.

The post was shared in a group having some zilla panchayat, taluk panchayat members and some Congress workers as members. The post, apart from deriding Shivakumar and his brother, D K Suresh, also compared rebel legislators to female buffaloes. As soon as some members in the group expressed their resentment, she deleted the post.

Devika, reacting to this incident, clarified that the post was shared by oversight and that it was not intentional. "As soon as I realized the mistake, the post was deleted," she stated.
