Udupi, Jul 17: “Ratnotsava, a ceremony to felicitate Bhuvanendra Kediyur, administatrative director of Hotel Kediyur to mark his 75th birthday will be held on Sunday, July 21 at Shyamili auditorium, Ambalpady in the city,” said Murali Kadekar, general secretary of felicitation committee in a press meet on Wednesday, July 17.
Murali Kadekar further said, “The committee has decided to felicitate Bhuvanendra Kediyour on his 75th birthday celebration. As the citizens of Udupi, it is our duty to honour such a humble and multi-faceted personality. He has done immense contribution to cultural, social and educational fields. The purpose of the felicitation is to inspire others to emulate him.”
As part of the occasion, there will be a musical concert by Chandrashekhar and team from Shruthi music Yermal at 9 am on July 21.
A prayer dance will be performed by Nritya Nikethan Kodavoor, under the direction of Vidwan Sudhir Rao, Kodavoor.
Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar math, Sri Vidyasagar Theertha Swamiji of Krishnapur math, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar math, Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kaniyur math will deliver the blessings note.
Dr H S Ballal, Pro-chancellor of MAHE Manipal will preside over the programme. D V Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers will inaugurate the function. Rev Fr Valerian Mendonca, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows church will address the gathering.
Kabiyadi Jayaram Acharya, Astrologer and scholar, will also address at ceremony. The chairman of the felicitation committee Nadoja Dr G Shankar will be present on the occasion.
