19-year-old ends life over mother's counselling on usage of mobile phone

Hyderabad, Jun 25: A suicide of a 19-year-old girl has taken place, after her mother counselled her on the excessive use of mobile phone. The girl has been identified as Shravani.

The incident took place on Monday evening caused allegedly as a result of the counselling given by the mother earlier that day. The mother was apparently advocating her daughter on the outrageous usage of mobile phones.

A case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been registered by the state police. The body of the teen has been sent over to the Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem.

Officials at the Punjagutta police station are still investigating the exact cause for the suicide, the reason will be known only after the investigation is complete.

    A Baby Child learns what their parents do. If parents are on mobile phone every time , then the child while growing also learns and this becomes addicted to cell phones.

    Have also seen parents giving tablets and cell phone so that they can silent the crying baby. at our age they used to make us sit in front of TV and watch cartoons. Now it has become fashion to give cell phone This is a bad habit

    Mobile phone should have only calling option, If more features required must have parent approval and should have right to disable all the features on smart phone without informing the user

    Mobile addiction might prove to be more dangerous than alcohol or drug.

    Mobile usage should be guided initially by parents so that kids know what is right and what not.

    In this case teen is a major 19 year old, should have been counselled much earlier at initial stage.
