Bengaluru: Mahesh Hegde of Postcard News arrested again

Bengaluru, Apr 24: Mahesh Vikram Hegde, founder of Postcard News was arrested yet again on Wednesday, April 24 as per the tweet of Shobha on her Twitter account.

Shobha also cried foul against the state coalition government for arresting Mahesh and said that the government is taking its grudge on Mahesh for exposing the lies of the Gandhi family.

Chakravarthy Sulibele also tweeted on the same issue. 


Mahesh Hegde was arrested based on a complaint filed by the home minister of Karnataka M B Patil, said police. He had recently uploaded an alleged fake letter attributed to Patil on the Lingayat issue. Patil approached the Adarshnagar police in Vijayapura and the case was transferred to CID. Based on the complaint, the CID cybercrime wing arrested Hegde.

Hegde had previously been arrested on March 29, 2018 before the Karnataka Assembly elections for uploading a fake and communally sensitive post.
