Congress leader Hardik Patel slapped at a public rally

Ahmadabad, Apr 19: Patidar leader Hardik Patel, who recently joined the Congress, was slapped on Friday by a man while he was addressing an election rally in Gujarat's Surendranagar.

Hardik Patel was delivering a speech in Gujarati when suddenly a man walked up to the stage and slapped him. The man then pushed Hardik Patel a few times before people intervened. A video of the incident has been tweeted by news agency ANI.

 

In the video, the man can be seen shouting angrily at Hardik Patel after slapping him and trying to manhandle him. 

The man’s identity is not yet known and he was immediately taken down by those present at the rally and was thrashed. Afterwards, he was taken to a police station where Hardik Patel also rushed to lodge a complaint.
