Vote for Modi if you want your kids to become watchmen: Kejriwal to voters

New Delhi, Mar 20 (IANS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday asked people to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi again only if they wanted their children to become watchmen.

"Modi wants to turn India into a nation of watchmen. If you want your children to become one, vote for Modi. But if you want your children to get educated and become doctors, engineers and lawyers, vote for AAP, a party of honest and educated people," he tweeted in Hindi.

Capitalising on the Opposition's attack on him in the Rafale jet deal, Modi last week tweeted a video with the hashtag "#MainBhiChowkidar" (I am also a watchman) and called out to all those fighting corruption, dirt, social evils and working hard for India's progress to join the campaign identifying themselves as "Chowkidar".

Initially several BJP leaders started tweeting using the hashtag but soon many of them prefixed "Chowkidar" to their Twitter handles.

The AAP has launched fielded candidates in all the seven seats in Delhi, giving a direct fight to the BJP in the national capital.

    Brilliant observation by Mr kejriwal.

    Mr Kejriwal is well-educated. Eben if Indians do not vote Mr Kejriwal, they can learn much from him.

    Can we even imagine to compare high-school level Narendra to Mr Kejriwal?

    But there are Indians, including some in our district, who still think Narendra can be believed.

    Why pointing fingers at others where as the leader, Chawkidar itself is chor. He has mastered the technique of symbolism without solving the issue. When the Chawkiar has became the head of Rafeal gotala and he was named as 'Chawkidar as Chor hai', he has used the name "#MainBhiChowkidar" as symbolism in order to divert the actual Rafael gotala issue.
    Krejiwal is absolutely right in saying, Vote for Modi if you want your kids to become watchmen. Parents, the input to your kids mind, will be the output.
