Bengaluru: Changing scenario - JD (S) supremo Deve Gowda may contest from Hassan

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Mar 19: In the background of the continuously changing political scenario of politics of Karnataka state, there is a likelihood that JD (S) supremo Deve Gowda may contest from the Lok Sabha constituency of Hassan itself.

It is learnt that, if Deve Gowda will contest from Hassan, Prajwal Revanna will contest either from Tumakuru or Bengaluru North. It is certain that M Manju, former minister of Congress, who has joined BJP now, will be contesting from Hassan. So both Revanna and Kumaraswamy have opined that it is suitable for Deve Gowda to compete against Manju than Prajwal. Due to this development, JD (S) is reworking on its options.

In the midst of all this, the name of retired justice Gopal Gowda is proposed for the constituency of Bengaluru North. If Deve Gowda contests from Hassan and Prajwal Revanna from Tumakuru, then Gopal Gowda will be contesting from Bengaluru North. It is learnt that Deve Gowda has had first round talks with justice Gopal Gowda in this regard.

Leaders of JD (S) from the constituencies of Hassan, Tumakuru, Bengaluru North and Mysuru met Deve Gowda in his residence at Padmanabhanagar in the city on Monday, March 18 and discussed the current situation. The leaders of Tumakuru and Bengaluru North pressurized Deve Gowda to contest from their respective constituencies. Though Deve Gowda listened to the opinions of the leaders, he did not take any decision.

The discussion that was to take place on Monday, March 18 between leaders of JD (S) and Congress could not take place as AICC president Rahul Gandhi had to participate in the Parivartana Yatre at Kalaburagi and interaction with young entrepreneurs in the city. All the state Congress leaders accompanied Rahul Gandhi. This meeting is postponed now.

The final selection of JD (S) candidates for the five, out of the eight constituencies, will be done only after the discussion with the state Congress leaders. There is also a possibility that in the constituencies of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru, Uttara Kannada and Vijayapura, Congress candidates will be fielded on JD (S) ticket.

It is learnt that JD (S) has contacted former minister Pramod Madhwaraj for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency. Similarly, it is said that the JD (S) has contacted some leaders in Uttara Kannada and Vijayapura.

This is the same JDS with whom Chediyurappa shared power...BJP will share power with any body even if there is a party of swines...in 1995 they supported Mayawati...when J Lalitha expired and her partner Sasikala was supposed to take over, Feku personally came and cuddled her...unfortunately she went to Jail...now Feku has partnered with 'two Lungis' party in TN...

Let him give Udupi seat to Congress and then watch the fun! Gowda’s are greedy! They witfail anyway, along they may doom Congress too! Congress alone would fare better than Jds! There is a bright chance for Pramod, Sorake, JRL when majority brain is unwashed!

According to my personal opinion National party (Congress or BJP) should not make any alliances with the Regional Party. it is very very shameful to them to beg and make alliances with Regional Party. It clearly shows their weakness and have no faith themselves. Whether BJP is winning or Congress is winning , it will be called either as BJP led Congress Government or Congress led BJP Government. Just ponder over it. It does not make any difference to the people of the Nation.

Check mate Congress beware ! Like i said earlier. The Gowda family is consolidating its position , its looking beyond and being very proactive. The family knows that this State alliance with Cong is short lived and may fall any day after the elections. So the family is contesting for elections and will support the NDA if they win. So if the alliance in Ktaka dies, they can support the BJP. Even if not in power they can rake in the moolah.

Bful Deve Gowdaji. Let's keep d opponents guessing. They think they have gone far too ahead. 2014's 31.23% votes all over India for NDA was a big mishap. Waves all gone, only reality shld be persisted with. Where r d jobs is the BIQ question. UP gone, NDA gone. Mayawati and Akhilesh are going to be the game changers this election. All d best and let better sense prevail.

Manoj. The Congis only think of the Congress and the Gandhi family. Thats the problem. JDS thinks of their future ahead. If HDD wins, no way it is going to help the alliance with Cong. We will help you survive but we want the power and money.
