Want to congratulate PM on winning 'world famous' award: Rahul's jibe at Modi

New Delhi, Jan 15 (PTI): Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for receiving the Philip Kotler Presidential award, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said he wants to "congratulate" him on winning "the world famous" prize that has no jury and has never been given out before.

Gandhi's jibe comes a day after Modi received the first-ever Philip Kotler Presidential award here. The award focuses on the triple bottom-line of 'people, profit and planet'. It will be offered annually to the leader of a nation, a statement from the Prime Minister's Office said.

According to the award citation, Modi was selected for his "outstanding leadership for the nation".

"I want to congratulate our PM on winning the world famous 'Kotler Presidential Award'!" Gandhi said on Twitter.

"In fact, it's so famous it has no jury, has never been given out before & is backed by an unheard of Aligarh company. Event Partners: Patanjali & Republic TV :)," Gandhi added.

The Indian households are more familiar with the brand name of 'Philip Kettle' rather than 'Philip Kotler'. But Prime Minister Modi publicity department spent ₹4,343 crore on publicity, revealed to RTI query once again made it by winning a prize with no disclosed jury or process – from a marketing group whose organizers ducked questions, calling it "a very confidential award”.
The event was co-sponsored by a public sector company, GAIL India, and partnered by Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali group, Republic TV (co-owned by BJP MP Rajeev Chandrashekhar), Havells, Bussiness world, The Popple, exchange4media.com, FreePress, 94.3 Radio FM, Pride Hotels & resorts and a number of other companies.
There is no mention of the brand-new Kotler Presidential Award on the websites of either World Marketing Summit (WMS) Group– the Delhi ‘summit’ – or its parent body, the WMS Group, or anywhere else prior to Indian news articles published today. The government’s press release makes no mention of jury members, nor the exact organization behind the new award.
The Kotler awards for marketing excellence were given following a nomination process, which required applicants to pay fees as high as Rs 1 lakh.
Mr. Tauseef Zia Siddiqui is the founder of Suslence Research International Institute Pvt Ltd and described himself as a representative of Philip Kotler based in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He was on the award committee for WMS18’s Marketing Excellence Awards. But declined to share any details about the judging process behind the Presidential Award bestowed on Modi.
This is how Prime Minister Modi's 'Philip Kettle' sounds spending from taxpayers money in crores.

    So,

Hereafter the PMO will have at-least one credential displayed with pride on its website. It will be authentically put up for the public to view since the nation knows it to have awarded to him.

Any previous queries for his educational background were unanswered in this regard because there is not one person alive in the whole nation who seems to be the class-mate, batch-mate of the so very honest gentleman.
