Bantwal: Thieves take away two lac rupees from gas agency office

Bantwal, Jan 12: Unknown thieves who entered the office of a gas agency at Maripalla in the taluk during the early hours of Friday January 11, took away cash and other items. The incident came to light on Friday morning.

The office which the thieves targetted happens to be Chowta Indane Gas Agency located in Chowta Complex in Maripalla near Kadegoli in the taluk, owned by Pushparaj Chowta. The thieves stole over two lac rupees found in the cash counter, three pen drives and company programming CDS.

The CCTV footage showed the thieves ransacking the office of the agency between 12.45 am and 1.45 am. Sniffer dogs, finger print experts etc were summoned to the spot for helping in the investigation.

Police circle inspector here, T D Nagaraj, sub-inspector, Prasanna, and other police personnel visited the spot.
