Mangaluru: Vikas Exam Guidance Programme held

Mangaluru, Dec 16: ‘Vikas Exam Guidance Programme-2018’, first-of-its-kind, was organized by Vikas PU College, Mangaluru, for first year PUC students on its campus on December 15. Prof T Rajaram Rao, principal, Vikas PU College, welcomed the gathering.

Resource person Prasad Malliselly M A, MPhil, MIT, (English Lecturer) serving in Velammal Group of institution, Chennai, Dr Ananth Prabhu G, advisor, Vikas Education Trust, Parthasarathi Palemar, coordinator, Vikas Group of Institutions, Dr Manjula Rao, dean, Vikas Group of Institutions, and Sunil Malagi, were present on the occasion.

Dr Ananth Prabhu in his address, stressed on the importance of discipline and determination to achieve the goals in life. He reminded the students that proficiency and perseverance are the key qualities that bring more employment prospects in the ever-changing present-day.

Career guidance programmes are usually organized for second year PUC students, but it will be too late for them to judge and to focus on their career plan. It is nothing but scientific process which involves preparation, planning, and dedication to achieve their aspired goal. So keeping this in mind, Vikas PU College has taken innovative initiation and invited multifaceted dynamic orator Mr. Prasad Malliselly, a personality with profound knowledge about various competitive exams, Government schemes and scholarship exams conducted in the country for PUC students. He gave prolific and detailed ideas about JEE Main, BITSAT, COMED-K, NEET, Indian Navy B.Tech Entry scheme, Indian Navy Sailors Recruitment, Indian Army Technical Entry Scheme (TES), NIFT, AIEED, Indian Council of Agricultural Research
ICARAIEEA-UG and All India Hotel Management Entrance Exam NCHMCT, JEE, and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) and also briefed the students regarding KVPY Scholarship, Ishan Uday Scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme, Young Science Fellowship Programme, ISRO Scholarship Programme. He further continued the programme with a session on ‘How to face Board Exam’. Through his enlightening words he fascinated the young minds and widened their understanding in the prospects of their career and also clarified the doubts outpoured from inquisitive students.

Laxmisha Bhat, HOD, Sanskrit department, coordinated the programme, Shruthi S Bandari, lecturer in Physics, compered the inaugural function and Manohar Concessao, HOD, Mathematics department, rendered the vote of thanks.
