Shah, Modi can't make Parrikar resign, fearing Rafale exposure

Panaji, Sep 23 (IANS): The Congress on Sunday alleged that top BJP leaders including President Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "no courage" to ask ailing Manohar Parrikar to step down as Chief Minister of Goa, because Parrikar, a former Defence Minister, had a lot of information about the Rafale deal.

Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar made the charge soon after Shah tweeted, that the ailing Parrikar, who is being treated for advanced pancreatic cancer at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for a week now, would continue as Chief Minister of Goa.

"Parrikar must be having a lot of information about the Rafale deal, because he was the Defence Minister that time. Parrikar is refusing to resign and they have no courage to ask for his resignation, because of the Rafale deal, because it is a huge scam, where PM is directly involved.

"I think Parrikar is using them now (and saying) if you ask for my resignation, I will expose you in the Rafale deal. They (Shah and Modi) are being blackmailed," Chodankar alleged at a press conference at the party's state headquarters in Panaji.

Earlier in the day, Shah in a tweet finally lent a bit of clarity to the ongoing leadership crisis arising from Parrikar's recurring hospitalization for nearly seven months now in hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and now Delhi.

"After discussions with the core team of the Goa state BJP, a decision has been taken that Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar will continue as a leader. Changes in the state government ministerial portfolios will happen soon," Shah said in his tweet.

Chodankar, however, has claimed, that the decision to continue with an ailing CM, who has been admitted to the Delhi hospital for a week now, only shows the "pure arrogance" of the party.

BJP is really cornered in Rafale deal. They are scared to order a probe. They can't cancel the deal as demanded by some, because it is a prestige question. Only thing they can do now is denial. But how long. New skeletons would be falling from the cupboard henceforth every day Their own ministers and MLA/MPs will start questioning them soon. No doubt Parrikar is also using this issue as a leverage to retain his chair.

Earlier lot of businesses were going to Italy...
Example is bofors... BJP did not oppose bofors guns.. The only thing they opposed is corruption... And it was proved with evidence...

If you have any evidence of corruption in rafale deal you can bring out... All you are doing is utterances without any proof

Despite controversy, Bofors guns were used extensively as primary field artillery in the Khargil war that gave India an edge over Pakistan as per battlefield commanders. But Rafale is the worst aircraft in the world as per Dr Subramanian Swamy who even had threatened to seek legal recourse had government gone ahead with the Rafale deal, but strangely kept quiet, probably after coming to know who the Indian partner of the deal was.

I hope you understand the difference between company and an individual..
Company may be under loss or in big debt, it doesn't mean individual director under loss and bankrupt...
The same way Mallya not bankrupt.. Only kingfisher airlines under loss... His other companies profit booking..

Former Defense Minister Parikar should come out in open clarify the defense deal in 'Rafle'. He should repent for compromising the nation security of India and ask for forgiveness from 'Bharat Mata' for corruption remembering his health condition.
