New Delhi, Sep 18: D K Shivakumar, water resources minister of Karnataka is in trouble again. Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a FIR against him for possession of illegal currency to the tune of Rs eight crore in a flat in the city.

Shivakumar, who heaved a sigh of relief on Saturday, September 16 for having secured a bail from the special court of economic offences, is facing the possibility of an arrest in this fresh case registered by the ED.

In addition to Shivakumar, FIR is also registered against Anjaneya Hanumant, staff and Rajendra, former staff personnel of Karnataka Bhavan in the city.

Income Tax (IT) department had registered four cases against Shivakumar and others for evading tax with regards to the illegal currency that was found in a flat in the city. However, the court had granted conditional bail to all the accused in these four cases.

"We are ready to face any inquiry. We have got all the documents. We are ready to answer the questions of the ED within the framework of law," said D K Suresh, MP and brother of Shivakumar.

    Ahead of Himachal Assembly elections in 2017, former Union telecom minister Sukh Ram's son Anil Sharma, who served as cabinet minister in the previous congress government, has joined the BJP, who is currently facing a probe for alleged involvement in first telecom scam.

    In August, 2015, Himanta Biswa Sarma, a former Congress leader from Assam, who supposedly has a good hold in North East state politics, joined BJP. He is currently serving as the Assam Health Minister was a ‘key suspect’ in Guwahati water scam which came to light in 2010.

    After year-long political instability in Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, along with 32 MLAs of Peoples’ Party of Arunachal joined the BJP leading to the formation of a full-fledged BJP government in December 2016. Reportedly, Chief Minister Khandu was facing charges of “corruption and criminal conspiracies” in the state which came out after the death of former chief minister Kalikho Pul. PPA secretary-general Kaling Jerang accused Khandu with allegations of corruption based on a suicide note left behind by late Kalikho Pul.
    Former Maharashtra CM Narayan Rane besides facing money laundering allegations, Adharsh Scam is also accused for alleged irregularities in denotification of land by industrial departments is now BJP's Rajya Sabha MP.
    D K Shivakumar is the another victim who helped Congress center leadership in crisis is BJP's new target.

    Every time he obtains 'Anticipatory bail'...Modiji files new FIR through ED....looks like Cat and house game...

    All of 'Mahatma DKS' time is spent visiting Lawyers/Courts and temples....

    By the by , Yeddy is his best friend...Yeddy talking against DKS is just for press...otherwise DKS would have been behind bars a years ago...

    There are so many people in this comment section supporting a corrupt, they are the same people who support Yakub Memon and Kerala Bishop. For them religion comes first and then comes the nation.
