Bantwal: Ramanath Rai turns singer at Ganeshotsava celebration, video goes viral

Bantwal, Sep 17: Former minister and senior Congress leader recently showed his singing skills during a Ganesh festival celebration here in Bantwal.

The video showing Rai singing a Hindi and a Tulu hit songs has been going viral much to the appreciation of people of the coastal region.

Recently Rai took part in 15th Ganeshotsava programme at Jakribettu in Bantwal and sang popular Hindi song 'Zindagi bhar nahi bhulegi oh barsat ki raat' from the movie 'Barsaat' and also sang popular Tulu track 'Mokeda singari'.

The crowd is seen enjoying Rai's singing show with huge round of applause to the veteran.

Rai in his childhood was very much involved in sports and also had interest in singing. By participating in the programme, Rai also recalled his childhood days.

    Finally..... enlightened to sing a song at Ganeshotsava.... Good sign to become a normal citizen.... A politically overthrown person will finally surrender to God which he used to criticise always while in power....     I always heard that he is a good human being and approachable by all, above all non-corrupt.     Both your favourites Rai and Sorake have interesting history....you can talk to Vijay Kumar Shetty, former Surthkal MLA and Rai's roommate in hostel....I am sure you will be enlightened after that and stop writing this crap again...

Though I was teenager, I was with u in Congress camp working for Oscar early 80’s before joining MIT mid 80’s and I know all politicians u mentioning........! Do u think current BJP lot any better?
