Mangaluru: Heavy rains - Rs 50 crore relief fund sanctioned for DK district

Mangaluru, Aug 16: A fund of Rs 50 crore will be soon released by the state government to the district as calamity relief.

To discuss the grave situation across coastal Karnataka due to rains, chief minister Kumaraswamy held meetings with ministers in Bengaluru on Thursday, August 16.

Revenue minister R V Deshpande, Dakshina Kannada district in charge U T Khader and Kodagu district in-charge minister S R Mahesh took part in the meeting.

Minister Khader explained to the chief minister the natural calamities suffered by Dakshina Kannada district. The chief minister asked Rs 200 crores to be released to the deputy commissioners for handling such calamities in various districts in the state. Rs 50 crore out of them will be released for Dakshina Kannada district. Minister U T Khader speaking to media said that the state government is willing to provide more funds.

    This so called ministers, wait for opportunity to to grab money. God knows how many croes will used flood relief nd how MANYGULUUM I pocket.
    Just eyewash make drama, even poor people who lost house, compensation will be given in penny.
    This govt officials fill their pockets in relief name
