Arnold Castelino from Karkala dies in accident in ship in Nigeria

Karkala, Aug 14: A man from Karkala met with an accident and died in a Nigerian port.

Arnold Adolf Castelino is the person deceased.

Arnold was working in a ship. Arnold and 2 of his colleagues slipped into the oil tanker when they were n duty in a ship. The bodies were recovered later and further procedures are under way.

 

“We received a message from company’s Mumbai office on Monday evening saying that Arnold met with an accident. A captain and a engineer from company’s Mumbai office visited us and gave further details. We have requested the company to send the body directly to Mangaluru,” said Vincent Castelino, cousin of Arnold Castelino.

Arnold Castelino is son of Francis Castelino and Gladys Castelino from Karkala.

Arnold is survived by wife Pramila Joyce Castelino and brother Amar Castelino.

    mr Jossey ...have you any idea of how life is on a ship.. this obviously happened because of someones negligence... tankers are one of the most safe ships around .. so this is definately not a mystery..a detailed investigation will reaveal all.
