Udupi: ICYM Perampalli unit organises ‘Parzal’ for youth

Udupi, Jul 30: The ICYM members of Perampalli unit organised a unit level programme ‘Parzal 2018' to unite all youth of Our Lady of Fathima Church. A total of 72 youth attended the event.

Parish priest Fr Anil D’Souza, Udupi diocese president Dion D’Souza, Udupi ICYM deanery secretary Fiona, Perampalli parish president and secretary Denis Furtado and Rosy Pinto, Perampalli unit ICYM president Benson D’Souza inaugurated the event.

In his message, Dion D’Souza encouraged the youth to become leaders and follow the ethics of our culture.



Fr Anil D’Souza motivated the youth to have trust in themselves and make the best use of every opportunity.

Unit president Benson D’Souza welcomed the gathering, and unit vice-president Danson D'Souza rendered the vote of thanks. Unit secretary Melona D’Souza compered the programme.

Soon after the inaugural ceremony a session on the topic 'Role of youth in the society, family and Church' was conducted by Leslie Aroza.

Later on, fun activities and games were conducted to the youth by Dr Manoj Maxim D’Lima. The youth showcased their talents in the programme.

Following these activities, 12 youth from the gathering shared positive experiences about the programme.

The resource persons were gifted with a plant as a token of love.

Laveena D’Souza was given a rousing send-off as she was departing from ICYM after her 6 years of service.

Fr Anil D’Souza shared his views on the event.

The programme concluded with lunch.
