Ghaziabad, Jul 23 (IANS): The death toll in a five-storey house collapse here has risen to two following the discovery of a child's body.
A man whose body was found in the debris at Akash Nagar on Sunday was identified as Rahul. The body recovered from below a concrete slab of the collapsed building has been identified as six-year-old Sagar.
The NDRF personnel are continuing to look for possible survivors and more bodies. The building owner is absconding along with his family.
The building was being constructed in violation of rules without the approval of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
Eight injured persons were rescued by NDRF personnel.
