Terms agreed on to return Blind from Man-U to Ajax


The Hague, Jul 17 (IANS): Ajax and Manchester United have reached an agreement on the return of Daley Blind to Amsterdam, the two football clubs announced.

The 28-year-old Dutch international will sign a four-year contract at his former club Ajax in due course. The transfer fee is 16 million euros ($18.7 million), reports Xinhua news agency.

In the summer of 2014 Blind left Ajax for Manchester United. In total he played 141 official matches for he Mancunians. During his period in England the defender, who can also play as midfielder, won the Europa League, the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Community Shield.

Blind, the son of former Ajax player and Dutch international Danny Blind, played for the Ajax youth academy since he was 8 years old and he made his debut in the first team in December 2008. With Ajax he clinched four Dutch league titles.
