Udupi: Sea turns rough at Kanakoda - Malpe connecting road faces peril

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Jul 13: Sea erosion has worsened at Kanakoda-Padukare area within the limits of Udyavar gram panchayat. As a result, the connecting road that leads to Malpe from Hejamady and Kaup is facing the danger of getting washed away.

Huge boulders which were stacked at the seashore to stop the advancing waves have been washed into the depths of the sea. The waves have been lashing the connecting road, crossing the plantation located on the other side, before pouring into the rivulet at the other end. All along the road, pile of waste, sand etc can be seen to have been deposited by the waves. Soil forming base for the concrete road is getting washed away because of the force of waves. Locals are apprehensive about losing the only road that provides them connectivity to Malpe.

The situation is particularly precarious at Kadthota and Kanakoda Pandarinath Bhajana Mandir and houses of a few locals are facing grave danger from advancing sea.

Tahasildar, Pradeep Kurudekar, revenue inspector, Upendra, panchayat development officer, Ramanand Puranik, village accountant, U S Raja and others visited the spot and assessed the situation.

    Rajesh,

Those who push the sea back or build man-made habitats in places where its supposed to be water, don't tell anybody when the entire artificial habitat sinks without a trace.

    Lets keep this a secret.

Treatment to cattle is a daily practice. Look at Nandini production - they could leave it to the calf if its not required/in access for human consumption.

Cruel people - whether farmer, or a butcher !

All Milk suppliers adding too much powder.. Visit their dairy.. bags of powder added, else no where in the world you can get such thick milk that too for sale. May be the batch went wrong so sold for free. If it was natural they could have sent back to the silos for storage

I totally agree with you Mr. Pai.

I have been very earnestly trying to extract a tablespoonful of ghee from a cup-full of cream taken out of Nandini Milk. I changed to Green packet when the Blue did not give much cream, and then on to the Orange one. Surely a lot of cream surfaces in Green/Orange packets and when churned them sufficient butter gets collected too. However, when heating it, the result is 80% solid waste and just 20% ghee is left behind. This is my personal, practical experience.

Cheating everywhere. Even in the product of a holy cow, that they label in bold letters as PURE COW's MILK.

Very true Jennifer. Calves are deprived of their mothers milk. Most of the People who own the cows, take their calves to th mothers till the mother releases the milk to her calf. Once it's released they pull the calf and tie far away from mother, and we milk the cow till the last . Very sad scene.
