Two students of Expert PU College, Valachil - Vineet Megur and Vaishvi P J - bagged the first and fourth ranks in BVSc stream.

Speaking to daijiworld, chairman of Expert Coaching Prof Narendra Nayak said, "If students work hard, with focus and determination towards their studies, definitely they will get ranks. I feel very proud of our students who have brought laurels to their parents and college."

An elated Vaishvi told daijiworld, "I am very happy on bagging the fourth rank. I was expecting it. The credit goes to my parents and Expert where I had my coaching. During my first PU I was concentrating more on board exams, and with the constant support of my teachers I began to concentrate on competitive exams. I am waiting for NEET results and hope to get good marks in that too."

Vaishvi, daughter of Jagadish P S, hails from Chikkaballapur. She studied at Expert Coaching as well as Expert PU College in Valachil.

Dr Bharathi Megur, mother of Vineet Megur told daijiworld, "We are very happy and proud of our son's achievement. He worked very hard and was confident of being among the top five. Vineet completed his first PU in Expert PU College, but due to health issues we had to shift him back to Bidar. He completed his 2nd PU at Shaheen PU College, Bidar and underwent CET coaching."

Usually, the higher education minister announces the CET results, but as Karnataka cabinet is yet to be formed under the new coalition government, the government allowed additional chief secretary of department of medical education and principal secretary of department of higher education to make the announcement.

The results were announced in a press meet by Dr Rajkumar Khatri in KEA office in Bengaluru.
