Bengaluru: Vastu effect! CM designate HDK prefers own house over official bungalow

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (DC)

Bengaluru, May 23: H D Kumaraswamy who is all set to become the next chief minister of Karnataka under Congress-JD(S) led coalition has decided not to opt for an official bungalow after he takes over office, following instructions from Vastu experts.

Kumaraswamy consulted two experts regarding using an official bungalow after taking over office. The experts inspected four official bungalows, including 'Anugraha' and 'Cauvery' and have reportedly told him that he will not complete his term as chief minister, if he moves into any of these houses.

They have advised him to stick to his JP Nagar residence which was renovated as per Vastu. After two long years of renovation, he had moved back into the house in August 2017.

However, HDK will use 'Krishna' as his home office and is expected to hold ‘Janata Darshan’ at both his private residence and ‘Krishna’.

HDK who stayed at ‘Anugraha’ had lost power as the chief minister in 2007. However, he claimed that he was not superstitious and the decision to use his residence was taken to “cut down” on government expenditure.

In the elections held on May 12, voters gave a hung assembly in 222 constituencies, with 37 for the JD-S, including one from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), 78 for the Congress and 104 for the BJP, which fell seven less than the 111-halfway mark for a simple majority and passing the floor test.

JD(S) state chief H D Kumaraswamy will be taking oath as the chief minister on May 23 at 4.30 pm. Dr G Parameshwara will be Karnataka’s first Dalit deputy chief minister, and will be sworn-in during the same ceremony.

The Congress and JD(S) combine have also finalized that K R Ramesh Kumar, the former minister for health, would be the Speaker.
