Wait and watch, BJP will win vote of confidence by foul means: Yashwant Sinha

Bengaluru, May 19 (DC): Former Union minister Yashwant Sinha who recently snapped ties with BJP has been critical of the central government for its attempt at forming the government in Karnataka when the party did not have the numbers or an alliance to reach the majority mark of 112.

Yashwant Sinha had headed to a spot near parliament this week to protest Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala's invite to the BJP's B S Yeddyurappa that he said, had triggered an Indian Political League, quite like the Indian Premier League (IPL) in cricket. "Now, MLAs and MPs will be auctioned. They will support those who will give them maximum money," Yashwant Sinha told on Thursday, a reference to the Karnataka governor giving Yeddyurappa 15 days time to prove his majority.

Soon after the Supreme Court gave newly-sworn in Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa 24 hour notice to face the trust vote at 4 pm on Saturday, Yashwant Sinha took to Twitter and made another sharp attack on the BJP.

"I can predict that tomorrow's vote of confidence in Karnataka will be won by BJP by foul means. Just wait and watch," Yashwant Sinha.

The jibe came hours after B S Yeddyurappa was sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnataka on the strength of his claim that the people of the state had delivered the mandate to the BJP.

The BJP has 104 seats in the state assembly that has an effective strength of 221 members. The Congress and Janata Dal Secular alliance won 78 and 37 seats respectively.

Yashwant Sinha's tweet was a follow-up to his forecast a day earlier that the political developments in Karnataka was, in his words, "a rehearsal" of what would happen in Delhi after the 2019 general elections if the BJP-led coalition didn't get a clear majority.

Our Indian Constitution is saved by the Judiciary.
The people's mandate will not allow Karnataka to be owned by Gujurati's.

Many people of Karnataka are still blind but there were few more than the blind, who can see, and will never allow Karnataka to be given in the hands of the Gujurati's.

MR. SINHA has the decency to expose BJP mal-practices. People of KARNATAKA had not taken his advice cleverly. Mr. Shourie, Mr. Shatrugan Sinha and a few others had already given enough indications about the day to day functioning of bjp. People need to remain alert for 2019. JUST DO NOT BELIEVE IN SPEECHES AND FALSE PROMISES OF MODI AND SHAH. Please also reflect on Gujarat - where the true stories are not known to other parts of INDIA.

BJP's very own act of not inviting party with highest numbers of MLA's to form the Govt in Goa, Manipur and Meghalaya, has deprived them of forming BSY led Govt in Karnataka.
