People turned panicky and ran away in different directions. The party workers caught hold of the man who caused this explosion and seized from him explosives and detonating materials. After finding him to be intoxicated, the man was handed over to the police.

The party leaders cut short the procession and sent away Kumaraswamy safely to Sakleshpur in another vehicle.
