Udupi: Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit make vows of perpetual profession

Udupi, Apr 26: The congregation of Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit on Thursday April 21 held a celebration of their perpetual profession at St Francis Xavier Church Kenha, Mudarangadi.

Sr Nirmala Mendonca from St Francis Xavier Church Mudarangady and Sr Winifred Pinto from St Theresa of Little Flower parish Kera, Nellikar made their final profession and offered themselves entirely to the service of the Lord.



The mass was officiated by Dr Francis Serrao, SJ, bishop of Shivamogga along with con-celebrants and witnessed by Sisters, parents and relatives of the Sisters and well-wishers.

The bishop briefly explained the meaning and value of living the vows and to be available at the service of the people and the Catholic church.

Sr Ida Lobo assistant provincial of India south province accepted their vows in the name of the church and felicitated the celebrants for their courageous step to carry the light of Christ to the ends of the earth.
