Bengaluru: BJP releases list of 7 candidates - suspense remains over 4 seats

Bengaluru, Apr 24: BJP has released a further list containing names of seven fresh candidates. After the release of this list, four more names remain to be announced by the party. Varuna in Mysuru is one of the constituencies where name of the party candidate has not been finalized after BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, announced that his son, Vijayendra, will not be fielded from here by the party.

Veteran actor, Jaggesh, has been chosen by the party as candidate for Yeshwantpura seat here. The other candidates named in the new list are G R Praveen Patil (Bhadravathi), Lallesh Reddy (BTM Layout), H Leelavathi (Ramanagara), Nandini Gowda (Kanakapura), H K Suresh (Belur), and J Pretam Gowda (Hassan).


Jaggesh

Shidllaghatta, Badami, Varuna, and Sakleshpur are the four constituencies where the BJP is yet to finalize its candidates. At the same time, replacement candidates have not been announced so far by the BJP for Arasikere, Madhugiri and Sira constituencies where the ones nominated by the party have backtracked from fighting the election.
