Mumbai: Chariot Festival held at Rama Mandira, Wadala


Mumbai, Mar 26: The customary Ramotsav which was an entire day celebration was held on Sunday March 25 at Sri Rama Mandira temple, Wadala known as Ayodhyanagar.

Devotees, along with cultural and spiritual sub committees of Rama Mandira offered special prayers.

Chief priest Sudhama Ananth Bhat and other priests performed Abhisheka, Naivedya Pooje, Mahapooje, Maha mangalarathi, Samaradhane, Pallakki Utsava, Ashtavadhana Seve, Laghu Vishnu Havana and others. They also distributed teertha prasada. Women kept the idol of Rama in a cradle and celebrated the birth anniversary of Rama. The idol of Rama was placed on a chariot in the afternoon for celebrations.



Ratha Vastu Shanti Havana, Samaradhane, Rathatohana, Brahmaratha Samarpane and Rathotsava celebrations were held. Women devotees held pujas in traditional manner.
