Mangaluru: Assault on group at Tannirbavi - Police arrest three

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 25: The police on Sunday March 25 arrested three persons in connection to the assault on a group near Fatima church at Tannirbavi.

The arrested are Sukesh Putran, a resident of Baikampady, and Tannirbavi residents Varun Suvarna and Deekshith Putran.

A group of five youths had allegedly attacked five youngsters including two girls who were returning from a birthday party at Tannirbavi on the evening of Saturday March 24. The male victims who were assaulted were hospitalised.

Taking swift action in the case, the Panambur police arrested the trio.

However, reports in a section of the media stated that the locals in Tannirbavi met the police on Sunday and alleged that the group of youths celebrating the birthday were 'behaving indecently', and when asked to leave the spot, they filed a complaint under pressure from someone.

The local women who met the police also claimed that the youths who have been booked for robbery and assualt were 'innocent'.

What a crock of lies. what were they doing that was so indecent?? the matter os indecency would be subjective. So what exactly they did over there?? now it doesn't even matter what they did... but the guys had no right to assault them. they need to be put in jail.

Uncivilised people among us are the part of the problem. What people need to know is that we should let anybody do anything unless they threaten physically to harm you, you cannot assault anyone. This is a basic rule a civilized person will know naturally.

Now that being said nothing will happen of this. If people who assault girls, and its captured in camera and still they cannot be convicted, then just imagine what will happen to this case.

Our police are useless at doing their jobs, our justice system is flawed and our politicians are a bunch of fools.

Even if Mr Ashok becomes the Home Minister, can he vouch for The assailants in Thanneer bavi?
Even a person of Central Home Minister, Mr Rajnath Singh can not do much on our borders as promised during the time of elections.
It's people's duty n discipline which is foremost required not the Ministers.

There is a kind of frustration in some youth and in some men who are sexually feel unfulfilled. They indulge in moral policing as they cannot tolerate boys and girls even talking and walking together. Most of them have a miserable family life. So they try to put the society in order while their personal life is in shambles. It is a kind of self employment. Our politicians take advantage of these impotent goons.

Even we are saying the same. Do the celebration near the beach instead of sceaming near someone's house. Just come and reside in Thannirbhavi for a month, you will get to know what's happening and why locals are raising their voice.

its a tourist place with 100s of people coming there everyday..what do you expect? people to come stare quietly at the beach and go home??? i have my relatives home near thanirbavi and i have stayed there..and i know how it is...people staying there need to adjust cz beach isn't anyone's private property..people come there to enjoy, play games, celebrate bdays etc.. what is indecency in tht? if people are screaming near houses just warn them or complain to police...why do they need to hit people??

I am from Thannirbhavi, adding to this, celebration needs to be done at the beach instead of doing it in residential area.

LAST MONTH I WAS TRAVELLING FROM MANGALORE TO UDUPI, A FEW STUDENTS FROM MANIPAL I BELIEVE(NORTH INDIANS PERHAPS) BOARDED THE BUS NEAR KAPU. AS THE BUS WAS NOT CROWDED THE STUDENTS OCCUPIED SEATS WITH OPPOSITE SEX. AND THEY WERE TRAEVLLING IN A ROMANTIC MOOD. EVERY BODY INCLUDING AGED PEOPLE WERE ALSO OBSERVING YOUNGSTERS SHOULD THINK IF THEY ARE IN LOVE THEY SHOULD DO ALL THIS ROMANCE IN A PRIVATE PLACE. IF THEY DO THIS IN FRONT OF OTHER YOUNGSTERS NATURALLY THEY BECOME MORE CRAZY AND JEALOUS AND THE INCIDENT MAY RESULT INTO THE SAME DELHI INCIDENT. ONE CAN SEE THIS PATHETIC CONDITION OF STUDENTS IN ALL BEACHES OF UDUPI AND KUNDAPUR AND MANGALORE. DONT SHOW OFF YOUR ROMANCE IN PUBLIC PLEASE.HIRE A ROOM AND DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE!!!I DONT CARE IF ANYONE FEEL BAD.

Again here BJP will prove in the court that no such incident took place because of absence of victims and witnesses?. The assailants themselves have given the statement to the police admitting this incident and assault then how can BJP deny it?.
