Delhi High Court sets aside disqualification of 20 AAP MLAs

New Delhi, Mar 23 (IANS): In a major relief to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the High Court on Friday set aside the Election Commission recommendation disqualifying 20 ruling party MLAs in an office-of-profit case.

The court asked the Election Commission to hear the case afresh because the MLAs were not given proper hearing before the poll panel decided on their disqualification. The case was now referred back to the Election Commission for reconsideration.

The MLAs were disqualified for holding office-of-profit when they were appointed Parliamentary Secretaries.

Tight slap on the face of the Modi government who are constantly harassing the AAP in Delhi.
Maken should keep his personal interests aside and support the Congress party's and the people's larger interest of getting rid of the BJP in the next LS elections.
Congress party know that the enemy is the BJP and not the AAP.
Maken should be really targeting the BJP in Delhi. This we say as Congress party supporters and supporters of an inclusive, united and secular India.

Even President of India approval gone to the drain. I appreciate the Delhi Court for respecting the people's mandate.
Now I would like to ask Election commison of India to act against the BJP MLAs of Uttarakhand who are holding 'office of profit'.
If the rule applies for AAP, in the same democracy it should applicable to the other party as well. If ECI is impartial lets disqualify the MLA's holding office of profit.

Truth will always prevail. Modi and co used many methods to silence people"s elected AAP government in Delhi including CBI raid on CMs office, arresting MLAs on false grounds, and many infamous methods but could not succeeded . All the above case courts always given verdict in favour of Delhi government. Now modi may use RSS for street fights and create and law and order situation in delhi.
