Dubai: Namma Kundapra Kannada hosts business meet

Dubai, Mar 19: Namma Kundapra Kannada, an association for Kundapura Kannadigas organised a business and executive meet at Hotel Regent Palace, Bur Dubai on March 16. The invited guests comprised many business and executives hailing from Kundapur.

The programme started at 11 am sharp with the lighting of lamp by Praveen Shetty, chairman of Fortune Group of Hotels and honorary president of Namma Kundapra Kannada, Dinesh Devadiga, managing director of Elegant Group of Companies and vice-president of Namma Kundapra Kannada, and Sadandas, president of Namma Kundapra Kannada
followed by other members of the association.



Compere Rony welcomed the guests, media and dignitaries on a very friendly note. He thanked all the invitees for having gathered despite being a Friday. He pointed out that though the group consists of people of different caste and religion, the unity for a cause was visible.

Praveen Shetty spoke on the occasion and stressed the need and importance of having such meets and reminded everyone to invite friends, families and relatives for the annual get together which will be held on April 13 at Crowne Plaza Diera where a mammoth crowd of 500 Kundapurians are expected. Praveen Shetty felt the need of presence of grand patron of Namma Kundapra Kannada and managing director of Ramee Group of Hotels Varadha Raj Shetty also known as Raj Shetty. He said Raj Shetty could not make it today due to his pre-appointments in India and assured that he will surely see that he is present on April 13.

President Sadandas intermittently spoke in the meet while simultaneously reminding about the importance of annual function.

The major highlight of the day was the presentation given by some big companies Like Ramee Group of Hotels owned by Raj Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels owned by Praveen Shetty, Elegant Group of Companies owned by Dinesh Devadiga. Approximately around 20 companies presented their company profile during the course of the day.

The day ended on a positive note followed by a sumptuous lunch. The whole event was sponsored by Ramee Group of Hotels.
