Kejriwal urges Tamil Nadu voters to replicate 'Delhi example'

Madurai, Feb 22 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday urged the people of Tamil Nadu to replicate the "Delhi example" by giving votes to the newly-launched party by actor Kamal Haasan to route "corrupt" AIADMK and DMK.

In his address at the launch of Haasan's party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam' (People Justice Centre), Kejriwal said that people of Tamil Nadu now have a chance to match the trend started by people of Delhi of voting for "new, honest alternative" and junk the "corrupt" established players.

"We started a small party called Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) four years back. Within one year of staring that party, people of Delhi rejected both the BJP and Congress and gave 67 out of 70 seats to AAP," said Kejriwal, who is also the National Convenor of AAP.

He said that people of Tamil Nadu now had an "honest alternative" to the main players -- the AIADMK and the DMK, who cyclically enjoy power in the state - but both of whom are "corrupt".

"I am sure people of Tamil Nadu will break the record of people of Delhi...If you want schools, hospitals, water electricity, vote for Kamal Haasan. If you wants corruption, then vote for DMK or AIADMK," he added.

Kejriwal said that everything is possible "if you have an honest government" as there was no dearth of resources but that of "noble intentions".

"I want to congratulate Kamal Haasanji and his entire team for staring this great political alternative. But more than that, I want to congratulate the people of Tamil Nadu that now you have an honest alternative. You can now vote for the honest party of Kamal Haasan," he said.

AK has shown a completely new trend that Elections can be fought honestly without alcohol, bribe or horsetrading. He showed that traditional politicians who have nexus with criminals and unethical police nexus can be thrown out of power of people give vote to common man.
Any person rich or poor whoever is not in association with this nexus is a Common man. Arvind Kejriwal has stood strong with ordinary people, selected those who don't have crime records and made themMLAs and ministers. He rules without Maafia and he has not got police or CAN under him as Delhi hasn't got statehood.
Still he has shown he can Deliver his promises as in MANIFESTO inspire the hurdles Centre has given through the Governor. Hope Justice prevails and many And cone to power.

Wish Kamal Hassan and his new party all the best. I hope he will be able to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Tamil Nadu. However, I hope the people of Tamil Nadu never follow the Delhi example. The Delhi AAP example is a disaster. Kejriwal promised change, but the only change that he has provided is the constant blame game and fight with the BJP, Congress, Bureaucrats and everyone around. Instead of administering he has only been agitating. All the good guys have left AAP in disgust and what is left in the AAP is a bunch of goons and criminals. Nobody in AAP today has any common sense. The recent beating up of the Cabinet Secretary and then lying about it blatantly when the person has injuries on his body, is what the state of the AAP is today. AAP is a failure and should be kicked out of the Indian political system as quickly as possible.

I totally agree with Satya, Mangalore's comments and I would like to add to that. Kejri has asked the people of TN to follow suit of Delhi. That is good if Kamal's party sweeps TN, he can give good governance but not to follow what Kejri did. Laal bathi culture, big bungalow for himself, whopping hike in Kejri and delhi legislature's salary. Hope Kamal can do some Kamaal.

You habe been misinformed. AK has been the one who runs a honest governmrnt and increased the revenue by cutting corruption. He lives in usual cm residence. His ministers and MLAs live with salary and not a single Paise of corruption.
Have a look at AAP Delhi tour and how they have transformed Primary health care and govt schools so the ordinary middle class benefit. As he is not serving the upper class, the corrupt and goons there is a defamatory campaign against him! AK doesn't have any media or channel to propagate the work. Go and ask Delhi middle class they will tell about Mohalla clinic. The Stamford and Lancet publications have praised AAPswork in health care.
The govt schools are transformed in par with Finland schools.
Electro 16th mafia have been thrown out.
Water tank mafia are thrown out.
    This is what Anna's achieved.
