Mangaluru: District level swimming competition held at SAC

Mangaluru, Jan 22: ‘AloyMac 2018’, district level swimming competition was held at St Aloysius College swimming pool on Sunday, January 21.

Around 210 swimmers from Dakshina Kannada district participated in the event which was organised by Mangalore Aquatic Club in association with St Aloysius Collage.

The event was inaugurated by Gagan Ullalmath, Olympian who represented India in the 2012 London Olympics in swimming. Vaishnav Hegde, international swimmer was the guest of honor.

Fr Melwin Pinto, vice-principal of St Aloysius College presided over the function. Dr Ashwath Boloor, president of Mangalore Aquatic Club welcomed the guests and gathering.



As many as 90 events were conducted under various age groups along with open groups. Separate events were held for toddlers and differently-abled kids. Seven differently-abled kids who participated in the events were honoured. Members of Mangalore Aquatic Club and participants’ families were presents in large numbers.
