Mangaluru, Jan 6: St Aloysius college (autonomous) here, organized a university level intercollegiate, basketball tournament 2017-18 for women on Thursday January 5 at the basketball court.
Jane Sequeira, sister of Joyce Pais was the guest of honour, along with John Sherra, vice principal (Xavier Block) and Rajaram, volleyball coach who wished the teams all the best and inaugurated the tournament. The tournament kick started with St Agnes College Mangaluru competing against St Annamma College, Virajpet.
Alva’s College, Moodbidri secured the first position followed by St Annamma College, Virajpet and St Aloysius College, Mangaluru team won second and third positions respectively.
Dr A M Narahari, registrar, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, Jane Sequeira, Dr Gerald Santhosh D’Souza, asst director of Physical Education, Mangalore University presided over the valedictory programme.
