Manchester: KCA UK organises Christmas get-together

Manchester, Dec 20: Christmas get-together by KCA UK, which is popularly known as ‘Christmas Boom’ was hosted on December 16. KCA UK organised this celebration at Lal Qila Restaurants Manchester.

There were around 110 people gathered from all over United Kingdom to participate in this fun filled evening.

Budding talents of Konkani community Raul Pereira, Melisha Barboza and Shaun Pinto officially kicked off the event at 7.00 pm with effective introduction covering way of Christmas celebration both in India and in Unites Kingdom. This was followed by Raj Francis Pereira from Carlisle and Anthony Mary Rodrigues, Manchester, who then channelized the complete event with their innovative ideas.



Homemade ‘Kuswar’ with full of taste and flavour, along with cake was served to the gathering.

KCA UK president Santhosh Pinto from Manchester welcomed the guests, conveyed his wishes and urged the gathering for the active participation to create some memorable moments.

Excitement was high when Santa Claus came onto the stage and gave away presents to all the children. Joe Andrade from Manchester as Santa entertained the gathering with his amazing performance.

Nativity play and carol singing was performed by KCA UK members, KCA UK adults and kids’ performance during this activity was truly incredible.

Ancita D’Souza from Hull, Stany Mendonca from Manchester and Gilbert D’Souza from Manchester exhibited their talent of singing, where as talented KCA UK ladies and kids performed couple of dance performances, which were well appreciated by the gathering.

Santhosh Pinto from Manchester brilliantly conducted the games for kids and as well as adults.

Delicious dinner prepared by Lal Qila Restaurant was served, which was well coordinated by Martin Saldhana from Manchester, Kenny D’sa from Birmingham Glenn Sequiera from Chorley, Derek D’Souza from Middlesbrough and Sonal Mendonca from Manchester.

James Ravi Pinto from Liverpool offered sincere thanks all who worked hard to make the event possible and successful; James Ravi wished all the participants a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.

The delightful evening continued with lots of lucky draws arranged by team KCA UK. Judy Menezes from Manchester won the Christmas Hamper, where as Jyothi Mendonca and family, Charlotte Barboza and family and Reena Rodrigues and family won the ‘Family of the day’ prizes.

Tariq Lodhi from KTV captured the event through video shooting, where as Derek Pates from Manchester dedicated himself to click the pictures of the event.

In the closing hour of the event, DJ Riziv ensured that all participants were engaged in a nonstop dance.

Stage set-up and Venue decoration was handled by Ronald Lobo from Manchester and Benson Moraes from Sheffield.
