Dog survives US plane crash


Washington, Dec 18 (IANS): A dog survived a plane crash in the US state of Indiana while three passengers and another dog were killed, authorities said.

A single-engine plane going from Missouri to Maryland crashed in a wooded area near Oldenburg in Franklin county on Saturday night, reports Xinhua news agency.

At the crash scene, three people and a dog were found dead.

Police said a second dog survived the crash and showed up at a nearby residence. It was taken to a veterinarian to be treated for injuries.
